Privacy policy

A-one cares deeply about protecting your personal data and your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

This privacy policy applies to the A-one website and to all services offered by A-one. A-one acts as data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Belgian data protection law.

1. What personal data do we collect?

We only collect the data you provide yourself or that is necessary for our services:

  • Contact & quote data: name, company name, email address, phone number and the content of your message or request.
  • Customer data: invoicing and project data when you become a client.
  • Technical data: limited, functional data needed for the website to work (see our cookie policy). We use no tracking or marketing cookies.

2. What do we use your data for?

  • To answer and follow up on your question or quote request (basis: your consent and/or pre-contractual steps).
  • To deliver our services and perform the contract (basis: performance of a contract).
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting and invoicing requirements (basis: legal obligation).
  • To improve and secure our website and services (basis: legitimate interest).

3. How long do we keep your data?

We keep your personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Quote requests that don't lead to an assignment are kept for a maximum of 12 months. Customer and invoicing data is kept for the statutory period (in Belgium typically 7 years for accounting documents).

4. Do we share your data with third parties?

We never sell your data. We only share it with third parties where necessary for our services, for example with:

  • our printing and production partners, solely to carry out your assignment;
  • IT, hosting and email providers that support our website and communication;
  • our accountant and, where legally required, the competent authorities.

We conclude the necessary data processing agreements with processors. Your data is in principle processed within the European Economic Area (EEA).

5. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased (right to be forgotten);
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw any given consent at any time.

You can exercise your rights via info@aone-group.com. We respond within the legal timeframe. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA/APD), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels: www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

7. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page.
